TRANSFER REQUEST INFORMATION FORM

Thank you for contacting ATCC's Contracts Group.

Please fill in and submit the form below in order for us to assess your transfer request.

All capitalized terms shall have the same meaning as that in the ATCC MTA.

The more accurate and complete your information, the faster we will be able to respond.  Incomplete forms will not be accepted.

For any transfer of ATCC Biological Material, it is our expectation that customers verify any third party restrictions/contributor rights associated with the specific materials. You may search for this information on the ATCC general collection catalog page, under the “View Restrictions” tab, in the general information tab. If you are planning to transfer patent deposit materials, please note that the transfer and commercial use restrictions in the ATCC Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) do not apply. This information is available under the “History” tab, after entering the ATCC catalog item number.

Modification/Unmodified Derivative - Per the terms of the ATCC MTA, ATCC permits the transfer of a Modification and/or Unmodified Derivative, to a third party for a bona fide research collaboration and/ or CRO services, under the following conditions:
  1. The sending party has executed the most current version of the ATCC MTA, http://www.atcc.org/en/Documents/Product_Use_Policy/Material_Transfer_Agreement.aspx.
  2. The receiving party must be bound to terms no less restrictive than the ATCC MTA (i.e. no commercial use, no further transfer) and subject to any third party restrictions.
  3. Recipient is required to either destroy or return to Modification/Unmodified Derivative upon the conclusion of the research collaboration or CRO services. ATCC may follow-up for all other reasons.
  4. Report the transfer to ATCC within two weeks of the occurrence using the online form - http://transferrequest.atcc.org/trifform.aspx.
  5. ATCC will follow-up ONLY if additional information is required, otherwise transfer may proceed without prior authorization.
Material/Progeny – Per the ATCC MTA, the transfer of ATCC Material/Progeny requires prior written authorization and is subject to any third party restrictions. Any request for transfer of ATCC Material/Progeny is only allowed in limited circumstances since we believe the materials can be obtained from ATCC with limited disruption to research. Generally speaking, the transfer of ATCC Material/Progeny is rarely authorized when the Material/Progeny can be obtained directly from ATCC or its distributors. For special consideration, please submit your request via the online form - http://transferrequest.atcc.org/trifform.aspx. Please direct any transfer inquiry to the ATCC’s Contracts Group via contracts@atcc.org.
